Joe D’Ovidio is a British writer and director based in Los Angeles.

Somerset-born and raised, he was the only citizen of Wells angry when Edgar Wright began shooting “HOT FUZZ” in the town centre, as it was taking all the local press’ heat away from his teenage self’s first action feature “BALLS TO THE WALL”, which was shooting up the road in Tucker Street.

A Soho Theatre Young Writer, he has directed the bite-size documentary, “Kubrick’s Napoleon” for Channel 4 and the Film London short, “WELCOME TO NEVERLAND”.

His new supernatural western short, which he has written and directed, “A DRIVE AT DAWN”, stars Eric Lampaert and is in post-production.
